Beirut: Lebanese President Michel Aoun has been actively engaging in several significant matters, including food safety, judicial cooperation with France, and commemorations of his presidency. Aoun emphasized the importance of tightening food safety controls, citing food security as a national priority that necessitates rigorous monitoring and laboratory testing.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun was also involved in discussions regarding Lebanon's postal sector. He met with Telecommunications Minister Charles Hajj and officials from LibanPost, during which he was presented with the first commemorative stamp issued at the beginning of his term.
In another key engagement, Aoun received Central Bank Governor Karim Saeed, who provided a briefing on ongoing discussions with French judicial authorities. These talks are centered around allegations of embezzlement of public and private funds, highlighting the importance of cooperation with European counterparts in addressing such financial issues.
