Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Tuesday praised the efforts of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) in ensuring equitable access to vaccines for countries worldwide. His remarks came during a meeting at Baabda Palace with GAVI Chair Dr. Sania Nishtar, in the presence of Health Minister Dr. Rakan Nassereddine.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun expressed Lebanon's commitment to supporting the World Health Organization's (WHO) immunization program. During the meeting, he highlighted the importance of international collaboration in vaccine distribution and reiterated Lebanon's dedication to contributing to global health initiatives. President Aoun's commendation of GAVI's work underscores Lebanon's ongoing engagement with international health organizations to ensure widespread vaccine access and strengthen global health security.
