Aoun Commends General Security’s Commitment to Citizens on 81st Anniversary

Beirut: President Joseph Aoun on Thursday paid tribute to General Security personnel and fallen members of the institution during a ceremony marking its 81st anniversary. "I came to bow before the souls of General Security's martyrs, and before your sacrifices and steadfast determination that enabled you to achieve these accomplishments," Aoun said at the General Security Directorate.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Aoun emphasized the role of state institutions in serving citizens and safeguarding their dignity. He stated, "It is every citizen's natural right to receive services wherever they are, without favor from anyone." The president lauded the achievements made by General Security in a short period and expressed confidence in the institution's ongoing development and improvement.

Aoun further remarked that while successful and productive institutions would inevitably face criticism, they should persevere in their work and accomplishments.
