According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Aoun pointed to systems that propagate ideas of hatred, extremism, and the rejection of others as being responsible for such tragedies. He criticized systems that pursue violent religious, ethnic, or political monopolies, as well as those that fuel injustice, oppression, and the absence of justice worldwide.
President Aoun called for global reflection on the causes and implications of such disasters and urged for a comprehensive fight against terrorism. This approach should target not only the perpetrators but also the ideologies, minds, and justifications behind these acts. He reaffirmed Lebanon's commitment to combating extremism and being a bastion of moderation, justice, and peace for all people.
