Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday met with Interior and Municipalities Minister, Ahmad Al-Hajjar, with whom he reviewed the security situation across the country and ongoing preparations for the parliamentary elections scheduled for May. Discussions also covered arrangements for the upcoming conference in support of the Lebanese Armed Forces and the Internal Security Forces, set to take place in Paris on March 5. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting was held to ensure that all necessary measures are in place to maintain stability during the election period. The dialogue between Aoun and Hajjar aimed to address potential security challenges and coordinate efforts to safeguard the electoral process. The planned Paris conference is expected to gather international stakeholders to discuss ways to bolster support for Lebanon's military and security institutions.
