Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday affirmed to the President of the Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie (AUF), Slim Khalbous, that "Lebanon has always been and will remain a bridge between East and West," emphasizing the country's "pioneering and continuous role in the Francophonie despite the difficult circumstances it has faced." He stressed that "Lebanon's path to recovery has already begun."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun's remarks underline Lebanon's commitment to its historical role as a cultural and diplomatic conduit between different regions. Despite facing numerous challenges in recent years, Aoun highlighted that the nation is on a path to recovery. The meeting with Khalbous focused on strengthening Lebanon's ties with the Francophonie and enhancing cultural and educational exchanges.
