Beirut: President of the Republic, Joseph Aoun, on Wednesday welcomed UNRWA Commissioner-General Philippe Lazzarini for discussions on the agency's work and the situation of Palestinian refugees. The meeting focused on the challenges faced by the agency in maintaining its operations and services for the refugees. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun also met with U.S. Ambassador Michel Issa in a separate visit. The discussions with Ambassador Issa covered bilateral relations and potential cooperation between the two nations. Both meetings were part of ongoing efforts to address regional issues and strengthen international partnerships.
