Arab League Criticizes International Community’s Inaction Amid Ongoing Aggression in Palestine.

Cairo: The Arab League has strongly criticized the international community for its perceived inaction regarding the ongoing aggression by Israeli forces against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip. The organization emphasized that the lack of decisive action underscores a significant level of incompetence on the global stage. According to Kuwait News Agency, the statement was made by Ambassador Ahmad Khatabi, Assistant Secretary General and Director of the Media and Communication Sector of the Arab League. He highlighted the ongoing aggression since October 2023, stressing that it clearly demonstrates the Israeli occupation's disregard for international and humanitarian laws. Khatabi condemned the targeting of civilians, including children and the elderly, and the obstruction of medical and media teams, as well as the prevention of aid deliveries amid widespread starvation. Khatabi further criticized the deliberate hindrance of the United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) b y the occupation forces. He noted that since its establishment in 1949, UNRWA has played a crucial role in providing essential humanitarian, social, health, and educational services in the Palestinian territories, particularly in Gaza. He argued that any attempt to undermine UNRWA's role is unacceptable, especially given the severe humanitarian crisis necessitating international solidarity and a rejection of violence and force over legitimacy.
