New york: Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei announced on Monday the cancellation of Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi's visit to New York due to a visa issue, according to Sky News Arabia. Baghaei stated during a press conference that "Araghchi's trip to New York is no longer on the agenda due to a visa problem," without providing further details.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, last week, the Iranian Foreign Ministry announced that Araghchi had received an invitation to participate in a special session of the UN Security Council on international peace and security, convened at the initiative of China and scheduled for Tuesday.
