Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Ahmed Huneiti, visited on Tuesday the Drones Directorate, where he was welcomed by its director. Huneiti was briefed on the Directorate's efforts and its role in identifying and providing JAF's requirements for various types of drones in accordance with their operational and technical requirements, in addition to preparing and qualifying the necessary human cadres to meet the operational and sustainability requirements. Huneiti emphasized that drones are a basic requirement at the current stage, especially in light of the technological and technical development that has cast its shadow on modern warfare and the changes in the strategic environment currently witnessed in the nature of threats in the region. The army chief was also briefed on the drone systems used for tactical and security operations, stressing the need to optimize the use of these systems. Concluding the visit, Huneiti, in the presence of a number of senior JAF officers, conveyed the greetings of His Majesty the Supreme Commander to the Directorate's officers, and his pride in the outstanding level and morale they enjoy and their high readiness to carry out the tasks assigned to them.
