According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the discussions were part of broader efforts to address both national and regional developments. General Aoun also met with MP Akram Chehayeb to evaluate the general situation within Lebanon, highlighting the importance of political and military cooperation in sustaining national security. The talks with UNTSO's Major General Gauchat were particularly oriented towards reinforcing the ceasefire after recent Israeli military actions, aiming to stabilize the region and prevent further escalation.
