Marjeyoun: Lebanese Army units succeeded in reopening key roads linking the area of Marjeyoun to Hasbaya and Nabatieh, restoring access after Israeli airstrikes cut the region off for a day.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Israeli aircraft had targeted the vital Khardali-Nabatieh road, blocking it from both directions and isolating Marjeyoun from surrounding areas. Another strike hit the Marjeyoun-Hasbaya road, disrupting routes connecting the towns of Jdeidet Marjeyoun, Dibbine, Ibl al-Saqi, and Hasbaya, causing near-total paralysis in transportation and supply movement.
Following efforts by the Lebanese Army, supported by the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), the Khardali-Nabatieh road was reopened as part of a field operation to restore these strategic routes, allowing the gradual return of normal life and movement in the region after a period of isolation and heightened security tensions.
