Artillery Shell Strikes Near Lebanese Army Vehicle, Injures Three Soldiers


BURJ AL-MULUK: A heavy artillery shell landed close to a Lebanese army vehicle on the Burj al-Muluk road, injuring three soldiers, authorities reported.

According to National News Agency-Lebanon, the 155 caliber artillery shell impacted near the army vehicle shortly after it passed the Rasha Hotel on the Burj al-Muluk road. The three injured soldiers were promptly transported to a nearby hospital where their conditions have been stabilized.

Security forces are currently investigating the source of the shell and have increased patrols in the area to prevent further incidents. The Lebanese military has not yet provided any statement regarding potential suspects or whether this was an isolated incident.

Local authorities have urged civilians to avoid the area near the incident site and to report any suspicious activity. The road where the incident occurred has been temporarily closed to facilitate the ongoing investigation.
