Bahrain: Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh, Chairman of the Shura Council, recently hosted Mohamed Ould Errachid, Speaker of the House of Councillors of Morocco. The meeting, attended by Dr. Jihad Abdullah Al Fadhel, Second Deputy Chairperson of the Shura Council, and Karima Mohammed Al Abbasi, Secretary General of the Council, focused on enhancing digital cooperation between the two legislative bodies.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Al Saleh highlighted the Council's strides in digital transformation, emphasizing the alignment with directives from His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the active involvement of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. He noted the Council's advancements in integrating smart systems and artificial intelligence into legislative support services.
During the meeting, Al Saleh showcased the Council's digital initiatives, such as the electronic voting system, digital parliamentary library, smart minutes system, virtual assistant "Sinnad," and the "Shura 360" platform. He provided insights into session procedures and legislative deliberations, reinforcing the Council's commitment to leveraging modern technologies and learning from the digital experiences of other legislative bodies.
Errachid praised the Shura Council's accomplishments in digital transformation and its recognition through regional and international awards. He emphasized the value of exchanging parliamentary experiences to bolster cooperation and coordination between Bahrain and Morocco. Errachid also recognized the visit as an opportunity to expand collaboration and share expertise in advanced digital solutions.
