Bahraini King and Lebanese President Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties

Gudaibiya palace: Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa welcomed His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, at Gudaibiya Palace during an official visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting was attended by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, an official reception ceremony marked the arrival of HE President Aoun, featuring national anthems and a 21-gun salute. The two leaders held a bilateral meeting, joined by prominent Bahraini officials, to discuss the enhancement of cooperation and friendship between the two nations.

The discussions highlighted the ongoing efforts to develop joint cooperation across various sectors for mutual benefit. His Majesty the King emphasized the historical ties between Bahrain and Lebanon, noting their continuous growth. The leaders also exchanged views on regional and international matters of mutual interest and discussed the current situation in Lebanon.

HE President Aoun expressed gratitude for Bahrain's support towards Lebanon's unity, security, and stability. The meeting concluded with a commitment to strengthen bilateral relations, marked by the announcement of a permanent Bahraini diplomatic mission in Beirut. The leaders underscored the importance of activating the Bahraini-Lebanese joint committee to explore further cooperation opportunities.
