Bahrain’s Deputy Prime Minister and Lebanese Interior Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations


Manama: Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa, the Bahraini Deputy Prime Minister, met with Ahmad Mohammad Al Hajar, Minister of Interior and Municipalities of Lebanon, during his visit to the Kingdom of Bahrain. The meeting aimed to enhance the strong ties between the two countries, with a particular focus on security cooperation.



According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah emphasized the robust relations between Bahrain and Lebanon, highlighting the mutual commitment of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Excellency General Joseph Aoun, President of the Lebanese Republic, to further develop these ties. The Deputy Prime Minister reiterated Bahrain’s firm support for Lebanon, emphasizing the Kingdom’s solidarity with the Lebanese Republic in efforts to maintain security, stability, and sovereignty.



Shaikh Khalid bin Abdullah stressed the importance of ongoing mutual visits between officials from both countries to enhance coordination and consultation. He highlighted the efforts to activate the Bahrain-Lebanon Joint Committee as a mechanism for advancing cooperation and structuring future agreements and projects.



Moreover, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the significance of strengthening economic, trade, and investment relations. He encouraged private sector institutions in both countries to explore opportunities for mutual benefit and contribute to shared growth and prosperity.



Minister Ahmad Mohammad Al Hajar commended Bahrain’s supportive stance toward Lebanon and expressed Lebanon’s desire to further strengthen bilateral relations.
