Beirut: Free Patriotic Movement leader, MP Gebran Bassil, expressed his support today for a recent papal call for prayer aimed at halting wars and reducing conflicts worldwide. In a message shared on the social media platform "X," Bassil conveyed a heartfelt plea for peace, emphasizing the need for divine intervention in Lebanon and other conflict-stricken regions.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Bassil's post read: "O Lord, from the land You have blessed, we beseech You to stop wars and end strife. Touch the wounds of Lebanon and every bleeding land. Restore humanity to mankind. Bless those who work for truth and peace. Accept our prayer and pour upon us Your light that dispels darkness. Your Resurrection is our hope, and to You be glory, O God of peace."
