BDC and University of Jordan Collaborate to Empower Youth in Labor Market.

Amman: The University of Jordan (UJ) and the Business Development Center (BDC) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to undertake activities designed to equip youth with the skills necessary to launch entrepreneurial projects and enter the labor market. According to Jordan News Agency, the MoU was signed by UJ's Vice President for Humanities Affairs, Dr. Nahed Omeish, and BDC Director General, Ghaleb Hijazi. The agreement focuses on collaboratively designing programs to provide students with essential employment skills and foster motivation to initiate their own ventures. The MoU outlines plans for introductory workshops and training courses that will align with labor market requirements, aiming to equip students with relevant job skills. Additionally, the initiative will prepare students to engage with the local community on youth empowerment projects, offering opportunities for university workers to provide scientific support, training, consultations, or participate in BDC's activities. Dr. Ome ish emphasized the university's commitment to enhancing students' skills through academic programs that build their capabilities for career opportunities. Hijazi also commended the university's efforts in supporting initiatives that enhance students' employability skills.
