Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri engaged in a phone discussion with Pakistan's Ambassador to Lebanon, Salman Athar, to appreciate Pakistan's contributions towards achieving a regional ceasefire. Speaker Berri utilized the call to express Lebanon's concerns about Israel's non-compliance with the ceasefire agreement and its continued military actions, especially targeting the southern regions of Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri also hosted a series of meetings at Ain el-Tineh. He met with Finance Minister Yassin Jaber to deliberate on the current political and field situations, focusing on issues such as displacement and financial concerns.
Further discussions took place with Vice Deputy Speaker Elias Bou Saa, where they reviewed the ongoing political and field developments, notably the persistent Israeli actions against Lebanon. The talks also covered legislative affairs amidst the regional tensions.
Additionally, Berri conferred with MP Charbel Massad to address the political climate, national concerns, and the displacement issue, emphasizing the need for coherent national strategies in response to the evolving regional dynamics.
