Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri paid tribute today to the people of the southern Lebanese border villages, praising them as guardians of Lebanon's sovereignty and independence. He acknowledged their steadfastness in resistance and national affiliation.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri addressed the residents of southern Lebanon, emphasizing that their actions exemplify true patriotism and a deep connection to Lebanon. He highlighted their unwavering commitment to the land, their dedication to freedom and liberation, and their willingness to defend their homeland.
Berri further stated that the recent events, where unarmed civilians were attacked by Israeli occupation soldiers in villages such as Mays al-Jabal, Houla, and Kfar Kila, serve as evidence of Israel's ongoing violations of Lebanese sovereignty. He called upon the international community to take immediate action to ensure Israel's withdrawal from occupied Lebanese territories.
