According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri's statement was made in response to a report in the Washington Post that allegedly misrepresented his comments regarding Iran's financial support to Hezbollah. Berri emphasized that his comments were misquoted and taken out of context by the publication. Berri reiterated that his stance was consistent with widely acknowledged information about Iran's support to Hezbollah. He also highlighted the importance of accurately representing statements made by public officials to avoid misunderstandings and misinformation.
