Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri welcomed French presidential envoy Jean-Yves Le Drian and his delegation at the Second Presidency in Ain al-Tineh, accompanied by French Ambassador Herv Magro. The meeting, lasting over an hour, focused on developments in Lebanon and the region, particularly in light of ongoing Israeli attacks on Lebanon. Discussions also extended to the bilateral relations between Lebanon and France.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, following the meeting with the French delegation, Speaker Berri held talks with former Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Their discussions centered on political developments and general affairs affecting the country.
Additionally, Speaker Berri met with MP Hadi Abou El-Hassan, Secretary of the Democratic Gathering bloc, along with Rima Saliba, President of the 'Nidal for Humanity' Association, and the association's secretary Raafat Nasser. The meeting involved a review of current conditions, during which Saliba provided an overview of the association's programs and activities related to human rights.
