Beirut: Speaker Nabih Berri, on Friday, welcomed Minister of Justice, Adel Nassar, at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. The discussion reportedly touched on the country's general situation, recent developments, and legislative affairs.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri later also received Beirut Bar Association President, Fadi Al-Masri, in the presence of the Bar Association Council Secretary, lawyer Maya Chehab. The meeting addressed syndical and legislative issues related to the Bar Association and the law on the independence of the judiciary.
Among Speaker Berri's visitors for the day was the Cultural Counselor at the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Lebanon, Mohammad Reza Mortazavi, who paid him a protocol visit upon assuming his new duties.
