Berri Engages in Discussions with UNTSO, Algerian and Iranian Ambassadors, and Public Works Minister

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri held a series of meetings on Tuesday at the second presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, engaging with key international figures and local officials.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri's discussions began with Major General Patrick Gauchat, Chief of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization (UNTSO) in Lebanon. Their conversation focused on the field conditions under the UNTSO's purview and the organization's ongoing tasks.

In a separate meeting, Berri met with the Algerian Ambassador to Lebanon, Kamal Bou Shama. The meeting included Dr. Youssef Chakra, President of the Algerian Writers Union, Algerian thinker Dr. Amar Talbi, Dr. Sarah Qorari, and President of the Lebanese Writers Union, Dr. Ahmed Nazzal. The discussions encompassed the general situation in Lebanon and the region, alongside bilateral relations between Lebanon and Algeria.

Berri also engaged with the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Lebanon, Mojtaba Amani. Their dialogue reportedly included the latest developments in Lebanon and the region, as well as bilateral relations between Lebanon and Iran.

Later, Berri met with Minister of Public Works and Transport, Fayez Rasamny. Their discussion focused on the latest developments and issues concerning the country's transport sector, as well as the programs being implemented by the Ministry of Public Works.
