Berri Engages in Political Discussions with Jumblatt and Mikati at Ain al-Tineh.

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri held a series of meetings at the Second Presidential headquarters in Ain al-Tineh, where he engaged in discussions with prominent political figures. Berri first met with Progressive Socialist Party Chief MP Teymour Jumblatt, who was accompanied by the "Democratic Gathering" delegation. The delegation included MPs Wael Abu Faour and Hadi Abou el-Hessen, PSP Secretary General Dhafer Nasser, and MP Jumblatt's Advisor Houssam Harb. The talks reportedly focused on the current general situation, political and field developments, the file of displaced persons, and legislative affairs. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Berri also met with Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati. Mikati briefed Berri on the outcome of the Arab-Islamic Summit hosted by Saudi Arabia, as well as his meetings and contacts during the summit. The discussions also covered the latest political and field developments and the issue of displaced persons. Later, Berri received former Vice Speaker Elie Ferzli for talks on the current situation.
