Berri Engages with Red Cross Leaders and Turkish Ambassador on Key Developments.

Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri held a meeting on Tuesday at the second presidency headquarters in Ain El Tineh with Jagan Chapagain, Secretary-General of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, accompanied by a delegation. Also present were Lebanese Red Cross President Dr. Antoine Zoghbi and a delegation from the Lebanese Red Cross. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, discussions during the meeting focused on Lebanon's general conditions, including the humanitarian situation and issues concerning displaced persons. The parties also talked about the work programs of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and initiated an international campaign to support the Lebanese Red Cross. After the meeting, Dr. Antoine Zoghbi stated that the Secretary-General's visit aimed to support Lebanon and inform Speaker Berri about the international campaign to aid the Lebanese Red Cross. Additionally, Speaker Berri received Turkish Ambassador to Lebanon Al i Baris Ulusoy on a farewell visit marking the end of his diplomatic mission. Their discussions centered on the general situation and recent political and field developments amidst the intensifying Israeli aggression on Lebanon.
