Beirut: House Speaker Nabih Berri met with Saudi Envoy Prince Yazid bin Farhan at the Second Presidency headquarters in Ain al-Tineh. The meeting was part of ongoing diplomatic engagements aimed at strengthening ties between Lebanon and Saudi Arabia.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Speaker Berri also received Fahad Salem Saeed Al-Kaabi, the newly appointed Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Lebanon. The ambassador's visit was a protocol meeting marking the commencement of his duties in Lebanon.
Further discussions included Dr. Mourad Wahba, the Acting Executive Secretary of the Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA). Dr. Wahba provided Speaker Berri with an overview of ESCWA's work programs and highlighted the cooperation initiatives between the organization and Lebanon.
