Beirut: The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has announced that daylight saving time will commence at midnight on March 29-30, 2025, as the clocks will be set forward by one hour to mark the onset of summer time.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the memorandum issued by the General Secretariat refers to Cabinet Resolution No. (5) dated August 20, 1998. This resolution mandates the advancement of local time by one hour during the summer season, starting from the midnight of the last Saturday in March until the midnight of the last Saturday in October each year. The Secretariat's reminder underscores the application of daylight saving time, beginning at midnight on March 29-30, 2025.
