Cabinet Session Begins at Baabda Palace to Address 28-Item Agenda

Baabda: The Council of Ministers convened on Wednesday in a regular session at Baabda Presidential Palace, chaired by President of the Republic, General Joseph Aoun, following an invitation and in the presence of Prime Minister Nawaf Salam and the ministers. The session is set to tackle a 28-item agenda, which includes agreements, legislative proposals, draft decrees, and appointments, in addition to functional and regulatory matters.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, President Aoun is expected to update the Council of Ministers on the outcomes of his recent visit to the State of Kuwait. Furthermore, the Council will be briefed on reports regarding the second phase of municipal and mayoral elections in the North and Akkar governorates, as well as on preparations for the upcoming elections in Beirut and the Bekaa scheduled for next Sunday.

Prior to the Cabinet session, a meeting took place between President Aoun and Prime Minister Salam. During this meeting, they discussed the latest developments, setting the stage for the formal discussions during the Council of Ministers' session.
