China Calls for ‘Complete’ and Immediate Cessation of Hostilities in Middle East

Beijing: China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi called Wednesday for an end to hostilities in the Middle East and for the United States and Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz "as soon as possible," during talks with his Iranian counterpart.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Wang Yi emphasized the importance of achieving a complete cessation of fighting without delay. He stated that it is "even more unacceptable to restart hostilities" and underscored the necessity of continuing negotiations. These remarks were made following discussions with Iranian counterpart Abbas Araghchi in Beijing.
