Kuwait City: Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) Chairman Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Humoud Al-Sabah engaged in discussions with South Korean Ambassador to Kuwait Park Chung-sook to explore avenues for enhancing civil aviation cooperation between Kuwait and South Korea, as reported in a press statement. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation, exploring development opportunities, and achieving economic benefits from the robust relationship between the two nations across various sectors. According to Kuwait News Agency, both parties recognized potential challenges, including regulatory differences and market competition. Discussions also covered upcoming and future projects, such as the potential opening of new flight routes and the establishment of joint training programs. Additionally, the conversation touched on improving airport infrastructure and streamlining visa processes to facilitate operations for Kuwaiti and Korean airlines. The South Korean ambassador expressed appreciation for the constructive cooperation in civil aviation. He also conveyed satisfaction with the contributions of Korean companies working in Kuwait, particularly at Kuwait International Airport.
