The media office of Telecommunications Minister, Johnny Corm, on Monday confirmed that there has been no breach of the official telecommunications network by Israeli forces. 'Reports of messages received by Lebanese citizens in various regions are attributed to deceptive electronic applications, which do not require advanced technology to exploit the network,' Corm said. 'The ministry is actively addressing this issue by transitioning from the current IP IMS system to the TDM system, which is less susceptible to breaches and allows for better control,' the Telecoms Minister added. Furthermore, Corm emphasized that the fixed network had been secured, noting that the telecommunications system in Lebanon strictly prohibits any calls originating from Israel, and the Israeli code is banned from the Lebanese network.
