Southern Shuna: Ministry of Water and Irrigation, in cooperation with the relevant authorities, has detected attacks on the main water pipelines supplying Southern Shuna region. The illegal infrastructures were used to illegally siphon off water to supply farms and fill ponds that draw "large" quantities from citizens' quotas allocated for drinking water. According to Jordan News Agency, a ministry statement on Tuesday announced that attacks on lands in the Ar-Ramah area have been removed and thefts on water lines have been ended. The documents related to the incidents will be transferred to the relevant authorities to take legal measures against the violators. The ministry affirmed that the crackdown is "ongoing" countrywide, emphasizing the importance of collaboration with the Ministry of Interior, the Public Security Directorate (PSD), security services, and citizens in countering attacks on water infrastructure.
