Beirut: Minister of Culture, Dr. Ghassan Salameh, on Thursday met with Beirut Governor, Judge Marwan Abboud, at the National Library. They were joined by Antiquities Director, Sarkis Khoury, and advisor Haitham Al-Sayyad to discuss the protection of Beirut's architectural heritage and the restoration of historic buildings.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Governor Abboud described the talks as productive and praised Minister Salameh's leadership. He expressed optimism for future collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and the Governor's office.
Abboud further noted that both sides share a unified vision for the preservation of the city's historical character. He stated that they will work on a detailed plan to safeguard Beirut's identity through coordinated efforts, emphasizing the importance of preserving the city's heritage.
