Beirut: The Ministry of Culture – Directorate General of Antiquities illuminated the facade of the National Museum in the colors of the Lebanese flag for three consecutive nights, commemorating the 50th anniversary of the 1975 Lebanese civil war.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, this gesture is a solemn acknowledgment of the conflict that profoundly impacted the nation. The lighting display serves as a symbolic message of hope and unity amidst the memory of past turmoil.
In this context, Minister of Culture Dr. Ghassan Salameh expressed a poignant sentiment aimed at fostering reconciliation and healing. He stated, “Let the war end and Lebanon shine,” underscoring the ministry’s commitment to a peaceful future while honoring the resilience of the Lebanese people.
