Madrid: Official Spanish media reported on Wednesday that the death toll from the catastrophic floods affecting eastern Spain has risen to 63, with numerous individuals still unaccounted for. According to Kuwait News Agency, the fatalities have been recorded in the provinces of Valencia and Castile-La Mancha. In response to the disaster, 1,000 Spanish troops have been dispatched to the affected regions to assist in managing the crisis and aid those trapped in the aftermath. Spain's State Meteorological Agency has announced that the state of emergency will persist across most Spanish regions due to ongoing heavy rainfall, with further flooding anticipated in the coming days.
