Death Toll in Gaza Strip Rises Sharply Amid Continued Violence

GAZA CITY: Medical reports indicate that Israeli forces have carried out three separate attacks in the Gaza Strip over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of at least 27 Palestinians and injuring 149 others. These incidents contribute to a rapidly increasing death toll in the region.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the total number of Palestinian casualties since the escalation began on October 7, 2023, has surged to 45,541 fatalities, with over 108,338 individuals injured. Women and children constitute the majority of those affected by the violence.

The ongoing conflict has severely hampered rescue operations. Emergency services report difficulties in accessing multiple casualties and deceased individuals trapped under debris or on roads due to continued obstruction by Israeli forces. The movement of ambulance and civil defense crews remains restricted, complicating efforts to provide aid.

Despite international calls for peace, including demands from the United Nations Security Council for a ceasefire and recommendations from the International Court of Justice to prevent further genocide and address the escalating humanitarian crisis, the situation in Gaza persists with little sign of abatement.
