Beirut: National Defense Minister, Major General Michel Menassa, on Friday received at his Yarzeh office, Director General of State Security, Major General Edgard Lawandes. During the meeting, the pair reportedly discussed the country’s security situation and ways to address it to enhance stability.
According to National News Agency – Lebanon, Minister Menassa highlighted the “pivotal role of State Security Service in maintaining security,” emphasizing the “need for continued cooperation and coordination between security agencies to raise level of performance and develop working methods in line with the requirements of the current phase.”
