Defense Minister Menassa Engages in Strategic Talks with Spanish and Canadian Ambassadors

Beirut: National Defense Minister, Michel Menassa, convened at his Yarzeh office with Spanish Ambassador to Lebanon, Jesºs Santos Aguado, to deliberate on the bilateral relations and the current developments within Lebanon and the broader region. The discussions also extended to military cooperation between Lebanon and Spain. Minister Menassa expressed gratitude towards Spain for its unwavering support to Lebanon, highlighting the contributions and sacrifices of the Spanish contingent operating as part of the UNIFIL international force in southern Lebanon.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, Minister Menassa also held a meeting with Canadian Ambassador to Lebanon, Stephanie McCollum. The meeting focused on the bilateral ties between Lebanon and Canada, along with the ongoing developments in Lebanon and the surrounding region. Ambassador McCollum reiterated Canada's steadfast support for the Lebanese military institution.

Additionally, Defense Minister Menassa engaged with MP Asaad Dergham to address the latest developments affecting the nation. Furthermore, a meeting was held with the Government Commissioner to the Military Court, Judge Fadi Akiki, to discuss the ongoing operations within the court and explore potential developmental approaches.
