Beirut: Minister of National Defense, Major General Michel Mansour, mourned the passing of MP Ghassan Skaff, saying in his statement: "With the passing of MP Dr. Ghassan Skaff, Lebanon, the Parliament, the medical community, the Orthodox community, and all Lebanese communities have lost an enlightened deputy, a worthy doctor, a noble and self-made man of good character who secured for himself a distinguished position in the world of medicine, a respected reputation in Parliament, and great appreciation from those who knew him for years and decades."
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, he added, "We mourn him today with anguish and sorrow, but we will always remember him as one of the most prominent shining figures that honored Lebanon."
