Dubai Internet City: Dubai Internet City, a leading technology business district managed by TECOM Group PJSC, has partnered with the National Association of Software and Service Companies (Nasscom) from India to promote technological innovation and support talent development. This collaboration was announced alongside the GITEX Global event, focusing on creating a conducive environment for tech companies and enhancing cross-border business opportunities.
According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was signed by Ammar Al Malik, Executive Vice President of Commercial at TECOM Group and Managing Director of Dubai Internet City, and representatives from Nasscom. The partnership aims to facilitate technology transfer, investment, and provide Nasscom members with the necessary support to establish operations within Dubai Internet City. This move is set to streamline the entry process and enhance the overall setup experience for businesses.
“Our partnership with Nasscom empowers the next generation of entrepr
eneurs and innovators to build upon the UAE’s and India’s shared success story,” Al Malik stated during the signing. He emphasized the strategic importance of this collaboration in fostering an innovative ecosystem that supports both regions’ technological advancements.
Shivendra Singh, Vice President and Head of Global Trade at Nasscom, highlighted the critical role of the Middle East market in the growth of India’s tech industry. “This agreement is a pivotal step in accelerating market access for Indian tech companies in the Middle East, a region we view as a critical growth driver for our industry,” Singh explained. He further noted that the partnership would enable Nasscom members to implement effective go-to-market strategies, scale their operations rapidly, and explore new business opportunities.
The partnership also includes various benefits for Nasscom members, such as access to Dubai Internet City’s vibrant community of over 3,500 customers, which includes multinational corporations, startups, and
tech giants like Microsoft, Google, and Nvidia. Additionally, members will have the opportunity to engage in joint research and development projects, and utilize facilities such as workshops and the D/Quarters co-working spaces provided by TECOM Group.
This strategic alliance between Dubai Internet City and Nasscom not only aims to drive innovation but also to create impactful technological solutions with a global reach, thereby reinforcing the technology sectors in both the UAE and India.
