PORT MORESBY: A strong 6.4-magnitude earthquake struck Bougainville Island in Papua New Guinea on Monday morning, with no reports of casualties or material damage, the German Press Agency (dpa) reported. The earthquake, which struck on Monday, was centred near Tokuaka on the island's southern coast, about 178 kilometres (111 miles) southeast of Buka. The US Geological Survey (USGS) said that the epicentre of the quake was at a depth of 41 kilometres. Source: Emirates News Agency
