Beirut: Minister of Economy and Trade, Dr. Amer Bisat, and Minister of Agriculture, Dr. Nizar Hani, on Monday held a meeting at the Ministry of Economy and Trade in Downtown Beirut to discuss food prices in Lebanon.
According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the meeting aimed to address the rising concerns over the escalating cost of food items in the country. The ministers explored various strategies to stabilize prices and ensure the availability of essential commodities for all citizens.
The discussions also included potential collaborations between their respective ministries to support local agriculture and reduce dependency on imported goods. By promoting local produce, the ministers hope to create a more sustainable food supply chain and mitigate the impact of global price fluctuations.
