EDGE and Baykar Sign Strategic Agreement to Advance Unmanned Aerial Systems

ABU DHABI: EDGE, a prominent advanced technology and defense group, and Baykar, a leader in unmanned aerial vehicle and artificial intelligence technology from Trkiye, have entered into a Cooperation Agreement at SAHA Expo 2024. This strategic partnership aims to enhance the capabilities and market reach of both companies through the integration of advanced technologies. According to Emirates News Agency, the agreement was formalized by Hamad Al Marar, Managing Director and CEO of EDGE, and Haluk Bayraktar, CEO of Baykar, during the event. The collaboration will focus on integrating EDGE's guided munitions and payloads onto Baykar's unmanned aerial systems platforms, with Baykar taking the lead on integration efforts. EDGE will offer technical assistance in designing, manufacturing, and supporting the necessary equipment for this integration. The initiative is designed to respond swiftly to market demand, ensure supply chain security, and deliver high-performance solutions. EDGE's CEO, Hamad Al Marar, remar ked on the significance of the agreement, highlighting the strengthened collaboration and enhanced capabilities that will result from integrating EDGE's solutions onto Baykar's platforms. Haluk Bayraktar emphasized the importance of the partnership with EDGE, noting the UAE's role as Trkiye's largest trade partner in the Middle East. He acknowledged the growing defense relations between the two countries and the strategic importance of collaborating with established companies in Trkiye's defense ecosystem.
