Manama: Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, received a delegation from Boston University, headed by Dr. Penny Bishop, Dean of the Boston University Wheelock College of Education and Human Development. The meeting was attended by several university officials and academics, alongside the Dean of Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari Teachers College.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion centered on the ongoing cooperation between Mohammed Jaber Al Ansari Teachers College and Boston University. This collaboration has already led to the implementation of the Master’s programme in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and the Master’s programme in Curriculum and Teaching.
The Minister mentioned that efforts are currently underway to introduce additional postgraduate programmes, including a Doctor of Education programme. These initiatives are based on the outcomes of the academic programmes already in place. The goal of this cooperation is to enhance the professional preparation and training of teachers and school administrators in the Kingdom of Bahrain, leveraging partnerships with leading international universities.
