Egypt and Spain Collaborate to Promote Peace in Gaza and Lebanon

Cairo: Egypt and Spain have reiterated their mutual commitment to halting the escalation of conflict and fostering comprehensive peace in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, highlighting their ongoing diplomatic coordination and shared vision towards regional stability. According to Kuwait News Agency, the renewed call for peace came during a meeting on Wednesday between Egyptian President Abdelfattah Al-Sisi and Spanish Minister of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation Jose Manuel Albares. Spokesman for the Presidency Ahmad Fahmy reported that the discussions covered current regional situations and developments, emphasizing the importance of achieving peace in the Middle East. President Al-Sisi expressed his appreciation for Spain's supportive stance on regional issues, particularly the Palestinian conflict, noting the continuous coordination between the two nations' leaderships. Albares conveyed greetings from Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez and affirmed Spain's support for Egypt's efforts to broke r a ceasefire in Gaza. The meeting also underscored the strong bilateral relations between Egypt and Spain and explored ways to further enhance these ties, particularly in economic and investment sectors. The Spanish delegation expressed a keen interest in participating in Egypt's ongoing development projects through the involvement of Spanish companies in various sectors such as manufacturing, agriculture, and transportation.
