Eight Deaths in Gaza Due to Famine and Malnutrition in the Past 24 Hours

Gaza: Medical sources in the Gaza Strip told the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) on Saturday that the deaths of eight citizens due to famine and malnutrition were recorded in Gaza Strip hospitals over the past 24 hours.

According to National News Agency - Lebanon, the medical sources reported that "the total number of victims of famine and malnutrition has risen to 281 martyrs, including 114 children."

The humanitarian crisis in the Gaza Strip continues to worsen, in light of the blockade and shortages of food and medical supplies. The severe famine is intertwined with the genocidal war waged by Israel since October 7, 2023.

The World Health Organization confirmed that "malnutrition rates in Gaza have reached alarming levels," noting that "the deliberate blockade and delays in aid entry have caused the loss of many lives, and that nearly one in five children under the age of five in Gaza City suffers from malnutrition."
