El Alamain International Airport received on Tuesday 16/7/2024 the first direct flight coming from Almaty International Airport in Kazakhstan. Operating direct flights from Kazakhstan falls within the framework of efforts of the Civil Aviation Ministry to stimulate the inbound tourism coming from all over the world to Egypt's tourist destinations. The Air Cairo flight was carrying 176 passengers who were welcomed by the public relations employees at the airport. Flowers, souvenirs and travel guidebooks were distributed to the passengers upon their arrival at the airport. The flights between Alamain and Almaty airports are set to continue until October with one flight a week. Source: State Information Service Egypt
