Emirates Expands Strategic Partnerships with Vietnam Airlines and VietJet.

Emirates: In a move to enhance connectivity and travel options, Emirates has signed two Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) with Vietnam Airlines and VietJet, focusing on strengthening routes between Dubai and Vietnamese cities Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. The agreements were formalized during the Vietnam - UAE Business Forum at the Hilton Dubai Palm Jumeirah hotel, attended by prominent figures including Adnan Kazim, Emirates' Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, and other government and business representatives from both nations. According to Emirates News Agency, Orhan Abbas, Emirates' Senior Vice President Commercial Operations, Far East, emphasized the airline's dedication to expanding its footprint in Vietnam-a market it has served since 2012, fostering trade and tourism links between the UAE and Vietnam. The MoUs aim to broaden existing cooperation, potentially offering reciprocal loyalty benefits and exploring collaborations in cargo and technical services. This builds upon a relationship with Vietnam Airlines that started with interline cooperation in 1994, facilitating customer connections across extensive networks. Nguyen Chien Thang, Vietnam Airlines' Executive Vice President, highlighted the significance of the MoU, expressing enthusiasm for the enhanced partnership that will strengthen ties and offer passengers opportunities to explore key tourist destinations. Meanwhile, the agreement with VietJet seeks to boost visitor traffic and commercial collaboration, enhancing connectivity within Vietnam and to Emirates' global network. Vietjet CEO Dinh Viet Phuong remarked on the partnership's potential to provide passengers with seamless, cost-effective travel experiences, expanding Vietjet's global presence and encouraging cultural exchange. Emirates continues its daily services to Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, with plans to introduce a second daily flight to Ho Chi Minh City from January 2025.
