EU Organises New Humanitarian Flight for Lebanon.

Beirut: The European Union is ramping up its efforts to provide aid to Lebanon amid the ongoing conflict, organising an additional humanitarian flight last week to deliver crucial relief supplies. This latest flight, which landed in Beirut on November 15, carried 33 tonnes of aid aimed at assisting internally displaced individuals across the nation. According to National News Agency - Lebanon, this initiative is part of a broader humanitarian effort by the EU, which has already sent seven humanitarian air bridge flights since October. These flights have collectively delivered over 220 tonnes of aid, including ambulances, tents, medicines, medical kits, kitchen tools, and hygiene kits. The aid has been supplied by the EU, its Member States, international organisations, and non-governmental organisations, and distributed through Lebanese entities such as the High Relief Commission, Ministry of Public Health, Lebanese Red Cross, and local NGOs. EU Ambassador Sandra De Waele emphasised the EU's commitment to su pporting Lebanon during these challenging times. She stated, "The European Union continues to support Lebanon in these difficult times. Together with our Member States and partners, we are providing humanitarian aid to help the people displaced by the conflict. There are already too many civilian casualties, including many women and children. We call on all parties to respect International Humanitarian Law."
